Meet Our Tutors

  • Ana Royal, Founder

    Meet Ms. Ana Royal

Ms. Royal is a dedicated 3rd grade teacher in the Baltimore City Public School System, where she has passionately served for 19 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Morgan State University, a milestone that marked the beginning of her rewarding journey in education. Teaching, for Ms. Royal, has always been more than just a profession; it is a heartfelt mission to empower youth with the essential skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. As her love for teaching deepened, Ms. Royal became increasingly aware of the challenges created by overcrowded classrooms, which often hinder personalized learning experiences. She recognized the critical importance of individualized instruction, understanding that each child has unique needs and learning styles. Driven by this commitment to her students, she took a significant step in 2017 by founding Royal Achievement Tutoring, LLC. This initiative aims not only to reinforce foundational skills for young learners but also to challenge and nurture advanced students, helping them to unlock their fullest potential and achieve their academic aspirations.

Royal Achievement Tutoring was featured in the Voyage Baltimore Magazine and Bold Journey Magazine. Clink the link below.

  • Dr. John McCain, Tutor

    Dr. John McCain, Tutor

    Meet Dr. John McCain

Mandela stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Martin Luther King stated, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.” I believe that education is the key and it unlocks so many doors for scholars. Moreover, education empowers our scholars to use their voice, and gives them tools to understand their own agency! I love the present and the future that education affords to our scholars.

I have been in education for over 25 years in many roles and capacities. I have taught in the grades K through 6, and lead schools and regions in Pre K through 12th. Additionally, I have taught at the college level. Recently, I came back to my first love, the classroom. Currently, I teach 8th grade English Language Arts. I love learning and love to see our scholars soar when they are learning!
